If a tenent gives notice to move out on 24th of February. How is prorated rent calculated. We divided rent by 28 days to figure per day cost, and multiplied by 24 to figure rent for the month. Tenent said this is incorrect becuase we charged a different per day charge at beginning of month. That month had 30 days though.

In the real estate business you always use a standard 30 day month when figuring out prorates. That's the industry standard
