How much should I pay a property manager?

Hello to all,

I need a property manager for my 10 unit building in NYC? What's the going rate or salary a property manager is asking these days. If anyone have any info on property manager salaries please feel free to chime in!!!

Simple question, what will be the property manager duties? Just paper-work/desk postion, or to do minor and major repairs, to maintain security, paint, pay utility and other bills? Will it be a full time position, live in, or part-time, live elsewhere? There are many manager do's & do-not's! What are the area managers earning now?

10% of monies collected. that is for the basics...screening tenants leases renting out the units and collecting the rents and what not. that does not include evictions or maintenance

Similar to Jack, I am about to buy a 36 unit inn. I am trying to find out what a reasonable % of gross revenues would be to pay a property manager who will bear all expenses except building and equip repairs, utilities, insurance, and property taxes.

Lou, what area are you located? I am in ATL and offer property management services for very good rates.

I am nogotiating for a position as Property Manager in the Green Bay area. What can I expect for a salary? I have been in the business approx. 4 years and the company that I work for has approx. 12 multi-family properties. I would be in charge of 2 of the properties with approx. 240 units. Could someone please help me asap??

This would be in regards to an estate managers position. I am curious about the salary going rate. Presently the owner is in and mostly out of town. I manage the entire estate from ensuring property is safe, properly maintained, routinely inspecting grounds, determining whether any repair is needed (minor / major) purchasing supplies when and if needed. Hiring maint. crew for various jobs, (to name a few)..

Anyone out there an Estate manager that can shed some light ?? thanx!!
