After a major carrier quit renewing rentals in parts of TX after hurricane Ike, my agent suggested another lesser known carrier.  I'm not happy with this company & am hoping to find a much better landlord policies for my rentals.  I know it's probably unethical to give names on this forum, but I'm grateful for any suggestions, hoping to find the best to serve us as we're senior citizens & for health reasons cannot work the properties ourselves as in the past. Our current carrier does not address the real problem of a claim, only wants to do cosmetic cover up.  Talking with many agents, we're not impressed with their lack of enthusiasm for rentals.  We pay a large amount of insurance each month and when making a claim, stress is taking a toll on our health.  These rentals are our retirement.   Dealing with this last claim has us looking to sell all rentals, but the market is another stress to deal with ,  Apologies for being negative on first message posting to this forum.

Have had Allstate for home, rentals, & auto's for 50 yrs. & was very happy, treated fairly!  Not being renewed on my rentals was a huge disappointment.  We've been with the agency since it opened 40+ yrs ago.   He's getting $ for the new company policies, but does not seem concerned with their handling claims.  He's getting retirement age
