Hello. I am about to rent out my condo. I want to put into the lease that part of the 1.5 months security deposit is a non refundable cleaning fee. Is this legal in Michigan? Thank you.

I don't know about Michigan, but in Virginia, anything that is a deposit is refundable no matter what else you say about it or call it. I would NOT call it part of the deposit. List the security deposit, list the cleaning, and give a total of the two so that there's no question what the two separate amounts are and are for. This is actually better for you because you get a little more money.
