Say if I have to visit upper unit of the DUPLEX should I let the lower unit know I ll be at the property.....

Not unless you need access through their unit. I wouldn't notify, that would be like telling a person in an adjacent apartment that you are showing the one next door to them. They don't need to know.

I thought might be awkward that's all . Parking in the driveway and them seeing me there. It's a 2 story detach DUPLEX.....

If you are not passing from their unit, then there is no need to let them know in advance. But, if you need to pass from their unit, it would be nice if you inform them prior.
