How does the tenant know you place is as good as you say it is? How do they know they can trust you when action needs to be taken on a repair? They don't. I've just launched a website called Landlord-Advisor.com. We opened to the public at the beging of December and are currently offering Landlords FREE featured listings (use code FREE2013). Ask your past tenants to rate and review your place. We did a poll of current apartment hunters and found that 100% said they would like to see reviews of an apartment before going to see it for the first time. 75% said that seeing reviews would give them piece of mind about the decision to rent a place. Regular residential listings are ALWAYS free. But for the next 21 Days, Featured Listings are free is you use the code FREE2013. Check if out if you have a few minutes. Landlord-Advisor.com

Sounds like a wonderful idea. What is the criteria landlords are rated on? Is the apartment or house rated also?

I do that every time my tenants move out of the place. This gives feedback to the prospective tenants and help them choose better. I think every property owner should do that.

There are many ways already for tenants to check out rentals. Especially a multifamily place. Talk to a former renter. If a landlord will not give you a reference, stay away from them. Or only lease the place for on a month-to-month lease.

It's really great of you to do this. Have you ever thought about the same product but for landlords? (collecting reviews from landlords about their tenants) I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who would find it useful.

Hi all,
I've been a landlord for about 4 years now. This summer I will be a tenant in another province while keeping my property at home. I've been frustrated with aspects of both the renting and leasing process and would like to create a product to change that.
My co-founder and I are looking to create a website that improves on the existing home rental sites that are out there...we want to make something more usable and easy to navigate for both landlords and tenants.
We are currently gathering info from a google survey that we made. If you would take the time to fill it out it would be greatly appreciated. I would love to get your perspective on what you think would be a useful product for you.
The survey is very short (12 questions). Here is the link: For Tenants - https://goo.gl/forms/VgpChqb82qLu301T2
For Landlords - https://goo.gl/forms/gedrA6BllxJaHKxr2
Thanks so much!

The site will serve as a good platform for both landlords as well as tenants.
