So I've extended my homeowner's policy with the HO-70 endorsement here in NJ so that liability, medical, etc. is extended to my rental.  But this doesn't cover water damage.  I know I can require my renters to have a policy, provide me with paperwork, etc etc etc.  But renters aren't always reliable, sometimes they move out and the property isn't covered, etc.  I want to make sure that my rented property is covered in case a pipe explodes and floods my whole property for a week.  According to my insurance company there is NO WAY on my homeowners policy to cover for that (NJM).  They said there is no other policy, endorsement, or coverage.

Anyone dealt with this and have any suggestions for a landlord wanting to cover his property?

Hello andoryuu,
You should review your claim with the help of a professional. The language used in an insurance policy can be difficult to interpret without an expert’s help. Usually insurance policy cover water/flood damage Renters property insurance can cover the cost of replacing your stuff if it is unexpectedly damaged. You can hire an adjuster to negotiate with your insurance company to get your claim settled. Insurance adjuster Boca Raton can help you get maximum benefit for your claim.
