In North Carolina, is a Landlord or Agent required by law to provide receipts to a tenant for any costs of repairs deducted from their Security Deposit? Is an itemized breakdown enough, or does the Landlord have to provide actual receipts if they request it?

itemized is all required, have the receipts incase of court action by tenant
also if the tenant asks for them, I see no problem giving them a copy
