I want to change my window frames, they are all rotten and are very much soft right now. These rotten woods gets wet quickly and there is only a minimal insulation right now, a friend of mine last week brought vinyl doors from Heritage Home Design Windows and Doors in Ontario. But I prefer real wood over vinyl, I was thinking to do it myself. Window dimensions in inches  24 x 48 and 1.5 inches frame . Suggest me the right kind of wood which could last minimum for a decade.
