My tenent of 12 yrs passed away on Feb. 7. She was on section 8. I just received a phone call from Housing that I will owe back the prepaid rent of February from the 7th to the end of the month. I just don't understand how callous they are. Was I suppose to have the family remove all her belonging on the day she died. I was giving the family to the end of the month to get everything out. I didn't realize that Housing would be asking for their money back. I searched other states HUD and some states give the family 14 days to get the belongings. Not South Carolina.
