I have a sublessee whose lease is up in 2 months. The original tenants that broke the lease (for job) paid $2000 per month. The sub is paying $1850. The property manager I hired (now fired) arranged with the original tenants to pay the $150 difference for the rest of the lease. Which so happens to be PM’s service fee. PM had the sub sign a new lease with the original amount $2000.PM supposedly explained to sub, that once the lease was up, the rent would revert to $2000. Now sub is mad and does not want to renew lease at $2000, stating that since I do not have a PM anymore why he should pay this increase. What to do?
