A question about the books, have you read them and do the writers have actual experience in being a landlord? |

Reply with quote | #3 | Another outstanding book for new and experienced landlords alike is "Landlording" by Leigh Robinson. Huge numbers of landlords regard his book as the 'landlording bible'. |

I've read Every LL's Legal Guide. Its a NOLO book. Great book, I just checked out the lastest edition. Read it many times. Swear by it (although some sections could use a little work). Also read LLing by Leigh, good book. Also try new book by NOLO, Every LL's Guide to Finding Great Tenants by Janet Portman. Both NOLO books come w/ CD's full of forms & letters to use. |

I think I'll check the library and see if they have any of them..Trying the free route first. The legal guide can help a lot and maybe I'll learn some good ideas/concepts to help out with LL'ing. |

Reply with quote | #6 | I read them for free from the library before I would even consider buying them. The LL's Legal Guide disappears from the library (never gets returned), so I have them get it from inter-library loan. I copy the parts I will need on my home copier-printer. Then return the book. If its something I will use all the time (like the law book), I would go buy the book after I've read it. |
