That's odd, she wants to pay less for a security deposit? If you can, have a background check on this tenant and her previous rental history if any and see if she really pays her rent on time. If you found out that she's really telling the truth and she cannot afford to pay the amount of security deposit, you can ask her if she wants to get a co-signer to pay her rent, just in case she defaults her payment in the long run. A good co-signer can be found at a reputable leasing company like EZ Lease Rentals. I heard that the company has a lot of positive reviews and good feedback.
